Sliding Into Christmas

Afternoon All.
Today sees the start of the new challenge at The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog, and this time round we would like to see 'Sentiments' on your cards. As this is our last challenge before Christmas, it will run for slightly longer than usual - until the 7th January 2012, to hopefully give you plenty of time to join us. In addition to the Challenge Prizes, Cutie Pie will also be running a CHRISTMAS CANDY DRAW for all our followers. The Draw will end at the stroke of Midnight on the 31st December, so don't forget to enter using Mr Linkys button which is on the Side Bar of the main blog, along with a picture of the candy!

It's time once again for a new challenge at Here Come The Boys, and this time round we would like to see your 'Rock & Roll' inspired creations. This challenge is our last this side of Christmas so will run longer than usual till 6th January 2012, so you should have plenty of time to come on over and join in the fun.
I decided I would do something different from stamping this time round, so I used a decoupage sheet from Crafts U Print, which I have then adapted to suit my own needs. Lots Of Folds

Morning All.
Well the kids are excited as they have a day off from school because of the strikes, and actually it's quite nice staying tucked up and warm rather than doing the school run.
Today also sees the last challenge of the year from Fab 'n' Funky, and we have decided to end on an 'anything goes' challenge.
I thought I'd step away from Christmas for this challenge, and have made a tepee Tatty Teddy card - I hope you like :o)
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges;
Party Time Tuesdays - anything goes
Crafty Boots - anything goes
and
Little Claires - shaped cards
Thanks for looking and I'll be back again soon.

Just Because

Morning All.
Well lately all the cards I seem to blog are DT creations, so just for a change I thought I'd blog a card just because I'd made it.
I used this card in one of my House Mouse classes earlier in the year, and all my ladies seemed to like it, until it came to colouring in the fir tree - thank goodness for ProMarker fine tips, else I think it would have been an impossible task. I just love the way all the little mice are toasting their toes around the candle.
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges;
Craft Your Passion -'Tis the season
House Mouse Challenge - the warm fuzzies
Pollycraft - Christmas fun
Stamptacular Sunday - anything Christmas
Sweet Stampin - punches or dies
and

Whenever I think of cute, I have to go down the LOTV route, as by now you will have probably guessed I own several and am completely addicted to them :o) I have used non-christmassy papers for this card for a change, and also kept it very monochromatic, with just a hint of green on the holly. For The Man In Your Life

Morning All.
Well, what a lovely day we had yesterday. We had to go shopping to buy my eldest some new school shoes, as his had fallen to pieces after just 3 months - and I admit I was dreading the prospect. Anyhow we set off to Southend, and managed to find a pair of shoes in the first shop - amazing. We done a bit of Christmas shopping, then went down to the seafront and played in the arcades for a little while. Then hubby took us all out to dinner on the way home - very scrummy :o)
Then this morning I was awoken by a hubby leaping out of bed, announcing we had no power in the house. The fuse box had tripped out again (quite a regular occurance in our wonky house). He managed to get the power back on, but once again our American style fridge freezer refused to restart, so we have been searching the internet since about six this morning to find one that could be delivered tomorrow - as this is the third time it's happened and I usually end up running round all our family and friends depositing the freezer contents around Burnham, and I just can't keep doing that every time the power goes off. Luckily though today, it has only taken a couple of hours for it to decide to work again, unlike the usual 12 it normally takes - but I still think it's faulty somewhere, as I'm sure it should set off as soon as power is restored.
Anyhow, the real reason for this post is to announce the launch of the next challenge at Here Come The Boys, and this fortnight we would like to see your creations 'for the man in your life', so they could be birthday, anniversary, christmas or whatever just as long as it's for your special fella.
My card is made with my little Matty in mind, as at 8 years old Christmas still has all the magic and excitment that you miss as you get older. I have used a lovely LOTV image, coloured with ProMarkers, but kept the layout nice and simple and unfussy, so I hope you like.
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges;
My Sheri Crafts - decorate for Christmas
Our Creative Corner - Chrismas tree challenge
Fairy Tale - Christmas
Patties Creations - Christmas
Stampin With The Dragon - anything goes Christmas
Lili Of The Valley - anything goes
and
I Love ProMarkers - anything goes
Thanks for looking, and have a good day.

Happy #100 Fab 'n' Funky

Morning All.
I've just looked out the window and he world seems to have disappeared into the fog. I think it's a shame that it can't be a snuggle up and play day in the warm, rather than work day :o(
Today sees the start of the 100th challenge at Fab 'n' Funky, which is all very exciting. We were due to do a blog hop, but due to circumstances beyond anyones control, this has been postponed to the new year, so keep your ears and eyes posted. To mark the occasion though we have a nice simple challenge of 'Happy Birthday', so anyhing goes as long as it's a birthday creation.
My card is one I did in a class recently, and the sentiment just made me chuckle, so I hope you like it.
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges;

Just Watching

Morning All.
I'm not sure I like this Monday morning feeling, I much prefer the lay in Sunday one, but oh well, guess you to have to have get up days so you can appreciate lay in days.
Anyhow, today sees the start of the new challenge at The Cutie Pie Blog, and I love this one - we would like to see your bear creations. We are also really lucky to have Teddy Bo & Co. as our sponsor this time round, and as you can see the DT have become total addicts of these images - we just adore them. Also Emma from CRAFTY EMMA'S STORE is our Random Winners Sponsor and is giving a generous £10 gift voucher to spend in her shop (P&P not incl.).
My card has been made with a Teddy Bo image coloured with ProMarkers. The papers are a combination of Nit Wits and Kraft. The butterfly was cut using a Spellbinders die and double layered, and the buttons are some from my stash, which for some reason, instead of sticking them on I decided to sew on - must be mad lol. I hope you like it, and will come on over and join in the challenge fun with us.

Our sponsor this time is the lovely Woo, and she is offering a prize of 25 Christmas 6in papers & 25 Orange 6in designed papers plus a Milton & Co Stamp, so it's got to be worth joining in with the chance to win such a fab prize.

Humphrey With Daisy

Hello All.
Sorry for my absense, but I have not felt much like blogging over the past week, as very sadly my second cat was knocked down and killed by a car. That's both my furry babies in three weeks - life seems so unfair sometimes. But what makes me even crosser is that neither driver stopped.
Also the bathroom that should have taken 10 days, is still on going with no end in sight, but all you have to keep thinking is 'It will be lovely when it's done', although that is hissed through clenched teeth at the mo.
Anyhow on a far lighter not it is time for the new challenge over at Fab 'n' Funky, and this time the theme is 'all white on the night'. This means we would like to see lots of white in your creations with a single accent colour. I have choosen blue as my accent colour, and have used a Humphrey stamp for my image. I must admit it did make a change to do a non-christmas card again. The backing papers are from Craft Creations and as usual the charm is from my shop.

It's Monster Time

Morning All.
I was wondering if everyone else's body clocks are as confused as mine with this gaining an hour business. It's nice to have the extra hour, but is it worth the confussion it causes?
Anyhow a quick bathroom update, just incase anyone is intrested - we have a working loo, bath and sink. Plus the lovely shiny towel rails went in yesterday, leading to the heating plumber coming back to flush the central heating system and change some of the other radiators in the house to get the heating working, as apparently when the old radiator came out, the contents looked like black treacle, and that's not good :o( Next for fitting is the shower, which will hopefully go in shortly, and you never know we may even get lights at some point !!!
Back to blogland though, and today see's the start of a new challenge at Here Come The Boys, and this time round we would like to see your monster creations. We are being sponsored again this week by Woo and she's offered 3 decoupage sheets and a stamp set for the winner of the challenge, so why not hop on over and join in the fun.
I have used a Dustin Pike image on my card, coloured with ProMarkers. The sentiment was one I printed myself, and the papers were freebies from a magazine.
I would like to enter my creation in the following challenges;
Marks Finest Papers - use up your scraps
The Poodles Parlour - let's hear it for the boys
Charisma Cardz - anything goes

Savannah Colour Challenge

Morning All.
Well it's day 9 now and we only had the plumber for a few hours yesterday, but the shower pipes are now in postion, the bath is now in place, altough not fixed and the old radiator is off the wall. It was so full of black gunk that the plumber now wants to clean all the radiators in the house to see if he can get the whole system working better - which is good, and bad all in one. Anyhow today should see tiling on the walls, so that the towel rails can go in Saturday - well that's the plan at the mo, until another issue crops up.
Todays card is for the new challenge over at CRAFT, and this week we have a Savannah colour challenge for you. This week we have as our sponsor Aifactory, and the prize they are offering is 2 images of choice from their shop.
I have used a Humphrey's Corner stamp on my card, coloured with ProMarkers. I kept the layout simple but have used a lot of matting ang layering.
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges;
Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Color Throwdown - colours
Partytime Tuesdays - anything goes
Forever Friends - anything goes
and
Totally Papercrafts - layer upon layer
Thanks for looking and have a good day,

Halloween Is Coming

Morning All.
Well we are now on day 8 of the bathroom, and there is no light at the end of the tunnel yet or in the ceiling come to that. The sink and toilet have both been connected then unconnected then reconnected as they leaked slightly. Then when the poor plumber started to channel the wall out to run the pipes up for the shower, he placed his chisel, hit it with a hammer to make a start and half the old plaster just slide off the wall in one huge lump. Today will hopefully see the bath and shower connected - fingers crossed, but I've given up holding my breathe as I think I'd have passed out by now. Anyhow - it will be lovely when it's done !!!!!!
Back to blogland now, and today see's the start of a new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky, and guess what it could be.........yes, you're right it's 'Hubble bubble, toil and trouble'. So we would like to see your halloween inspired creations.

Morning All.
It's day 2 of the bathroom, and so far the old room has been completely striped out and is now sitting on my drive. So Distressing

Morning All.
Well my house has turned into the house of chaos again, as we are having a new bathroom fitted (whoopie), but I think I've turned from a crafter to a teas-maid. But it will be lovely when it's all finished. For the first time since we moved into the house, we should be able to have a shower in the ensuite - hopefully without water dripping in the lounge :o)
Anyhow, back to today's creation which is for the new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky, and this time round we would like to see distressing or torn edges on your projects. This week we are sponsored by Funky Kits who are offering the winner 4 stamps of their choice, so why not hop on over and join in the fun.
I choose to use a House Mouse stamp on my card, I thought he looked adorable blowing his bubble gum bubble. He is stamped onto water colour paper, and has then been coloured using Distress Inks, plus the edges have been coloured with matching ink. I hope you likee.

Winter Warmers

Morning All.

Well, it's a lovely sunny morning here in Essex, so I thought I'd quickly post my challenge card for CRAFT, before I teach my House Mouse class. This should fool my ladies, as they are painting with Distress inks and Aquamarkers instead of straight ProMarkers for a change :o)

This week we have as our first sponsor Truly Madly Crafty. The prize they offer is a £5 voucher for their shop.

I have started stocking them in my shop, along with the ProMarkers and FlexMarkers - so many pens, so little time to craft. The backing paper is one of the new Graphic 45 sheets, from The Wizard of Oz range.

With Sympathy

Afternoon All.
It's Wednesday so it's time for a new challenge at Fab 'n' Funky, and this time we would like you to make 'a hard to do' card. We want you to make a card/project that you think it's hard to do and try to shy away from these type of projects. here are some ideas: Sympathy, Thinking of you, male, keeping your card design simple, white on white, monochromatic etc, you decide.
I choose to do a sympathy card, so I stuck to my usual black and white, and then tried out my new Wow embossing powder, which is fab. The sentiment stamp is from my lovely friend Lynne's shop, and comes as a set of 6 different definition stamps.
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges;
Partytime Tuesday - monochromatic
Stamp With Fun - anything goes
and
Sentimental Sundays - monochromatic
Thanks for looking, and I'll be back very soon.
